The girls lacrosse team ended the spring season with its first win in three years. The win occurred on senior night when graduating seniors are honored on their home field.
With a 5-0 win over A. Phillip Randolph on April 24, the team put a win in the record books.
Marie Coatl-Camacho, a senior and captain of the lacrosse team, enjoyed the celebration. The score was memorable for the girls since it was their first win after 3 years, she said.
“I like that the school gave us custom shirts,’’ she said. “I’ll miss high school lacrosse but you have to move on at some point.”
Keisy Cuello, another senior on the team, says the last game was memorable and sweet.
“The team as a whole was supportive, cheering on for the girls as they fought for their game,’’ she said. “I am going to miss practices and games a lot because it really kept me active.’’
