Bronx River Entrepreneurship club is selling handmade ornaments to get students in the festive mood and raise money for the club.

The ornaments, which cost $8 to $10, feature a variety of holiday designs, including a snowman, a reindeer, a Santa cam and a Grinch cam. Buyers also can order ornaments personalized with someone’s name or picture. Order sheets can be found in the main office.

“The fundraiser is to raise money for the entrepreneurship club and teach them how to hand-make things to sell,” Belizza Delacruz, a club advisor said. The money will help pay for a future trip so students can learn new skills.

The club meets every Monday and Tuesday after school. Students learn learn how to create things to sell and how to promote the products to gain sales so they make money, Ms. Delacruz said.

Daisy Castro, an 11th grader, recommends the club to others. “I like the club because I get to socialize with other people and meet new people,’’ she said. “I hope to learn how to do marketing and learn how to make items and sell them.”
