Students whose parents turn in a blue card get a dress-down pass.

As another school year starts, students receive piles of papers that need to be signed. Whether it be syllabuses, lunch forms or even blue cards, students and parents have a lot of paperwork to compete.  The blue cards, which provide emergency info, are especially important. So the school has decided to give a dress-down pass to students whose parents  fill out the blue card on Operoo, the school’s online platform for everything from blue cards to permission slips.

About 245 blue cards still need to be completed, said Belizza Delacruz, the school secretary in charge of the blue cards. Because the blue cards include the crucial contact information required for emergencies, blue cards are important, she said.

“If anything were to happen, like an evacuation or there’s a fire or anything like that, then we have additional contacts for the student,” she said

On days when you feel too sluggish to get dressed in your school uniform, you can utilize the dress-down pass that was issued to you in exchange for the blue card to wear most anything you like. When you want to celebrate a little and are feeling special on your birthday, you can use it to wear your favorite outfit. Better yet, this won’t be the last time you can get a dress-down pass in return for online forms and paper to fill out, so be sure to check back for updates.
