Because these sites are so popular, students wonder which streaming service comes on top.

Jayden Colon is a senior who frequently uses Spotify as his main streaming application. He prefers its interface over most others, favoring its designs and structure.
“I mainly prefer Spotify, mainly because I like shuffling through the songs I like and finding new songs,” he said.
Jose Almonte enjoys usually listening to music while he’s doing his work or other activities. He prefers Apple music because of its billing choices.
“I mainly prefer Apple music because the family plan on Apple music is better than the family plan on Spotify,’’ Jose, a senior said.
Spotify is known for superior social sharing, such as collaborative playlists, jam sessions, and the popular Spotify Wrapped end-of-year feature. Meanwhile, some users think the interface is hard to navigate when finding the song they’re looking for. As for Apple Music there is no free version and it requires a monthly subscription to access the app.

Founded by Shawn Fanning and Sean Parker back when compact discs still ruled the music world, by March 2000, the Napster community had more than 20 million subscribers.
