The Student Council sponsored a Student-Teacher swap spirit day, rekindling a dress down idea that hadn’t been done in two years. Like the name suggested, teachers dressed like students while students dress like teachers on Jan. 30.
To show off who they dressed as, students and teachers participating in the spirit day wore name tags identifying the person they were imitating.
Students favored dressing up as certain teachers such as Abraham Zuniga, Dominick Pelletieri, Ashley Rodriguez, Concepcion Pena, Marco Pompa and Joseph Shinn, making them the most frequently written name tags.
Many students just dressed as their favorite teachers, but there were also many teachers who mutually agreed to match with their students, such as Anna Maria Jack matching with Jomayra Amparo, Diosbeni Rojas matching with Abraham Zuniga, and so on.
This spirit day showcased that even though students are in uniform most of the time, there are still distinctive things about everyone’s outfits. Concepcion Pena dressed up as Emely Navarro, remaking her space bun hairstyle.
The same goes for teachers. For instance, students who dressed like Takia Gaynor included her socks, which are a distinctive item she is known for wearing.
