Reflections and photos from school’s first snow day in two years

The extraordinary glaze of the bright pink auras surrounding Westchester Square.

A time to reflect and look out the window

My eyes wander to the window adjacent to my bed. I see the snowflakes beginning to come to a halt. The temperature in my room mimics the temperature outside. Despite this, the warmth of my bedsheets is comforting. This snow I intend to lay in my bed finishing my assignments after sitting through the google meet briefly.
At the moment I’m taking advantage of today to recover from a cold with the slight smell of chai tea attempting to invade my senses, on my bedside table. Tissues were littered on my unmade bed.
Doing remote even for this one day is reminiscent of the start of my freshman year online. In my experience, I felt content with staying home every day while I completed my classes online. It was my safe haven where I could listen to music. My motivation increased as I had more time throughout the day to continue my hobbies. However, I can admit I took it for granted toward the end, especially now during the winter season.
This remote day allows me to look through my window now and then, enjoying the view of snow falling. I know tomorrow I will have to face the snow outside on my route to school, but It’s important to take advantage of the day to relax.
