Lehman Campus hosts flag football tournament
Four Bronx River students, Katalina Ordonez, Eva Jackson, Alexandra Lee and Azzurede Strong, played in a flag-football tournament sponsored by the Lehman Campus.
The Lehman Lions flag football coach, Greg Morales, put together a tournament with seven other teams to give the Lehman Lions and its competitors a chance to test their skills during the pre-season. The Lehman Lions won two games during the tournament.
Four students, Juniors Azzurede Strong and Alexandra Lee, Senor Nia Jackson and freshman Katalina Ordonez, represented Bronx River on the Lehman team last weekend.
Nia said the tournament helped the team improve. “Our defense got better,” she said.
She also likes the team’s chemistry this year. “I feel like we’ve got a good connection and we act like a family.”
Kadeem, a senior, plays soccer and is on the track team. He also is a member of the art club.
