Friends came out to cheer honor teammates who will graduate this year on Senior Night.

In the final home game of the basketball season on Feb. 9, the Ladies Lions beat Bronx Science in a close game that proved to everyone they wanted to celebrate Senior Night with a big win: The final score: Lehman: 43, Bronx Science, 42.

Friends and teammates congratulated Bronx River’s two seniors, Kimberly Perez and Janice Hernandez for the victory and their efforts this season. During the last four years, both players have  worked hard to make it as far as they can as varsity athletes. They played volleyball in the fall and softball in the spring. And this year, they decided to give basketball a try for the first time in high school.  As their first and last basketball season came to an end, both girls said they will miss playing the game but are looking forward to what next year brings.

The win improved the team’s season record to 6 wins and 10 losses.
