Students showed off their vocals at a karaoke party after school on Dec. 12. At the party, students ate popcorn, chatted with friends and sang along to their favorite tunes.
GSA club advisor Sabrina Alkayfee planned the event. “I wanted to give students a chance to communicate with each other and everyone loves to sing, so I thought of this as an opportunity for students to enjoy their evening with their friends.”
She hopes to plan another Karake event soon. “I would love to do this in the future because I feel like this is the best way to connect with others and feel safe in your own community.’’
