Seniors celebrate decision day with march through hallways
Freshmen, juniors, sophomores and school staff staff cheered as the Class of 2022 walked through the hallway carrying signs and banners celebrating their post-secondary plans. Seniors are looking forward to going to college, joining the military and starting a career. The most popular options are Bronx Community College (8 students); Borough of Manhattan Community College (6 students); Coop Tech (10 students), John Jay College (7 students) and Mercy College (8 students). Other choices include the Army National Guard, the Marines, the Navy, Binghamton University, City College, City Tech, Fordham University, Hostos Community College, LaGuardia Community College, Monroe College, the Navy, Russell Sage College, St. John’s University, St. Thomas Aquinas College, Stony Brook, SUNY Buffulo, SUNY Canton, SUNY Delhi, SUNY Onondaga, SUNY Oswego, Utica University, Brooklyn College and Lehman College.
Sara Singh, a senior, is part of the NYC Student Press Pass Fellowship program. She has a brother who graduated from BRHS last year.
Adriana Sadiku, a senior at Bronx River High School, is a member of the Peer Leadership Program.
