Nadia Almestica will give the valedictorian speech for the Class of 2022.

The Bronx River High School graduating class of 2022 will get to hear words of wisdom from its top two scholars on graduation day June 27.

Jannatul Chowdhury will be the salutatorian while Nadia Almestica will be the valedictorian. Jannatul says she was surprised by the honor. “I didn’t expect it, she said. “I thought one of my friends would be picked.”

Nadia, who has the highest grade point average in the senior class, put the honor in perspective: “It’s really about balance. It’s not about hard work and fun. It’s about pacing yourself and doing both.”
