Global Issues

In class, we made self-portraits that were Jean-Michel Basquiat inspired. The global issue that resonates in my artwork would be women’s rights, BLM and global warming. The signs that I put in my artwork that is personal to me would be the peace sign, hearts, flowers, crowns & butterflies; they all resonate with emotion. The three important words in my artwork that speak volumes in today’s world would be greed, women’s rights, & BLM. Each color in my artwork represents an emotion blue=peace, red= anger, yellow=happiness & black=darkness. In conclusion, I was very proud of my work because I know I made a difference by speaking on these global issues.
