Meet Mr. Shinn
Mr. Shinn joined the staff this year as a physical education teacher and dean.
What subjects do you teach?
Physical education. I also work as a dean.
What was your favorite subject in school ? Why?
P.E was my favorite subject in school because I got to be free and play with my friends.
What kind of student were you in high school?
I was a good student with good grades.
Why did you decide to become a teacher? Why did you pick BRHS?
I decided to become a teacher because of the impact my high school teacher had on me. I picked BRHS because of the loving community and support it gives to the students and staff.
Where did you go to college?
I went to Queens college.
What do you like to do for fun?
I like be around friends and family .
Do you have any pets? What kind? Names?
I have an Australian shepherd named Autumn.
Fun fact about you:
I’ve won nationals in track and field three times.
What would you like your students to know about you?
That I’m someone they can rely on and trust. I’m here for them and will support them anyway I can.
