In an online election, the student body elected the student council’s executive board. Emalee Charles will serve as president and Diosbenni Rojas will be the vice president. Zoe Reyes will be the new secretary while Kelsey Yeboah will serve as treasurer.

Concepcion Pena, an advisor for the student council, is looking forward to working with the new board. All four executive board members are members who have contributed so much over the years and have shown dedication to Bronx River and the student council, she said.

Emalee is looking forward to her role. “The first thing I will do to contribute is to make our school more lively with fun decorations, for example adding six to seven posters for the graduating upper classmen of class of 26 and 27 because I want to make our school more fun.,’’she said.

Diosbenni wants to have a suggestion box where students can help pick spirt day themes

“I want students to know they can be heard to help our school,’’ he said.
