Some emotions are too complex to say out loud, and that is exactly what “A Note From a Quiet Heart’’ captures. The book, written by student author Franklin Sosa, a junior, explores what it feels like to care deeply for someone while struggling to find the right words.
“Talking is difficult when it is with someone you have feelings for,” says Franklin. “This book was my way to express those emotions without having to say them.”
He began working on this book in July and finished it by the first week of September, just before the school year started. The process was both exciting and stressful. “I was happy to get my message out there,” he said. “But I also felt a little pressure to finish before school began.”
For Franklin, the book is more than a personal project. It is a gift for anyone navigating love or connection. “I wanted to create something for people in relationships or hoping to be in one,” he said. “It is something they can relate to.”
The title reflects the emotional tone of the book. “The pages do not correlate, and that is intentional,” he said. “People who have passionate feelings will understand it because emotions do not always make sense or line up perfectly.”
While writing, Franklin faced challenges keeping each page unique. “I did not want to sound repetitive since none of the pages connect,” he explained. “And I did not have any help, so it took a lot of focus to make sure every piece stood on its own.”
The book can be purchased on Amazon for $6. He made the price affordable so that anyone can access it. “Yes, the low price is for accessibility,” he said. “It is meant to be a gift to others.”
Although he is already thinking about writing another book, he is not sure if he will release it publicly. For now, “A Note From a Quiet Heart” stands as a quiet and powerful reminder that sometimes the most meaningful messages are the ones left unspoken.
