Ndiaga Seck, a Bronx River High School junior, joined the Lehman Lions soccer team in his freshman year. He shares his personal experience and the importance of working hard on and off the field.
Q: How long have you been playing?
A: “I’ve been playing since I was six.”
Q: What inspired you to play this sport ?
A: “I started playing soccer because when I went to Africa my cousins inspired me.”
Q: What is your position on the team?
A: “I play center back.”
Q: What is the best part about playing this sport?
A: “The best part about playing soccer is that you get to meet new people.”
Q: What is the most challenging part about participating in this sport?
A: “The most challenging part is that you have to run up and down the the field and that gets you tired.”
Q: Do you plan on continuing to play this sport after you graduate?
A: “I plan on playing at Buffalo State University.”
Q: What are your hopes for the season?
A: “My hopes for the season are to win the PSAL league.”
Q: What advice do you have for anyone who wants to play this sport?
A: “Don’t be nervous, keep on working hard and you’re gonna earn your spot.”
