Graduating seniors at BRHS walked the stage to claim their diplomas on June 27. With a graduation rate of 100 percent and an incredible reputation around school, the class of 2025 will be one to remember. Before the ceremony started, graduates and parents shared their outlooks on the future after a long chapter of high school.
“It’s a bittersweet moment for sure,” Janeidy Beltre said as she and her friends got ready for their graduation ceremony.
“Yeah, it’s bittersweet, but I’m ready to go; I didn’t come to school often, but when I did, it was fun,” Eden Thompson added. Though the girls will miss their high school friends, each is excited to move on to bigger and better things.
Desean Briggs, family member of Kai Graves, an early graduate, shares his happiness for Kai’s hard work. “I’m more than ecstatic; I’m excited for him,” he said. “All his hard work paid off, and now he can graduate early with honor roll.” Thanks to his hard work and family support, Kai is now on his way to Bronx Community College (BCC) to major in coding.
Principal Gregory Fucheck praised the Class of 2025 for their 100 percent graduation rate as well as their perseverance for making it this far. “It’s difficult to believe you’ll be walking out of this auditorium today, quite possibly for the very last time,” he said.
