Blair Misir, a senior student at Bronx River High School, joined the Lehman Lions lacrosse team. He shares through his experience the importance of practicing on and off the field.
Q: How long have you been playing?
A: I’ve been playing for a few months.
Q: What inspired you to play this sport?
A: My friend introduced me to the sport and I just took it for fun.
Q: What is your position on the team?
A: I play midfield.
Q: What is the best part about playing this sport?
A: The best part about playing this sport is building relationships with your teammates because it is a team sport. It’s really fun and requires a lot of hard work.
Q: What is the most challenging part about participating in this sport?
A: The most challenging part is determination and practice.
Q: How do you feel the season went?
A: The season went pretty good but it was hard.
Q: How have you improved?
A: I improved by practicing on and off the field whenever I had time for myself.
Q: What advice do you have for others who want to participate in this sport?
A: My advice is listen to your coach, remember stuff that they teach you because eventually it will help you.
Q: When you graduate from high school, do you plan to continue playing any sports?
A: I plan on continuing to play lacrosse in the Bronx.
