Ever wonder what random interesting things people carry around in their bags daily? We asked students to share one unexpected item they have with them.
Freshman Natalie Gil has condoms in her bag and says that if someone needs one, she’s willing to provide it. Montefiore, located in the basement, supplies anyone who needs pads, condoms, etc.
Junior student, Belinda Edwards, keeps a McDonalds crocs. Apparently it is a “ collectors item,’’ she said. “I don’t want anyone to steal it.”
Saja Ibrahim Yabai, a senior, carries straws because according to her, “Random people are always asking for straws,” so she’s prepared.”
Emily Juarez keeps origami with her because it helps her “cope with fidgeting.”
Nafies Dunaway keeps a durag in his backpack to “keep my hair fine.’’
Balanca Hernandez, staff member, carries liquid bandage because she has a little cut and has been applying it on.
Ayden Lema, a junior, keeps a bottle of Japanese cherry blossom lotion in his bag, using it for both “sanitation and hydration.”
