The school celebrated Eid by organizing a special henna event during lunch on April 11-12.
Students gathered to celebrate the occasion, with many participating in the delicate art of henna. Some outstanding students displayed their abilities by creating beautiful henna designs on others. This brought a lively and cultural touch to the educational environment. This event provided a memorable and interesting time for the students.
Concepcion Pena, one of the student council advisors, expalined, “A couple of years ago one of my students Nabiha spoke about henna representing her culture so we decided to give this idea as a way of celebrating Eid.”
Fahima Akter, a junior who did henna, shared her happiness, saying, “I was delighted to share my culture with everyone in the school.” She was pleased to see how people of other cultures reacted to the event.
Marisa Rana, a senior who also did henna, said, “It feels rewarding to share part of my culture with the school community, introducing them to something as beautiful and meaningful as henna, which is used in celebration of special occasions.”
