Students can explore their creativity and learn about various art styles in the art room. In addition to learning about various mediums and methods, students get the chance to create unique pieces of art. Students can use art to express themselves and learn about the world around them.
All of the student pieces are hung on the wall along with a ton of other artwork. The art classroom is a lively place full of ideas, decorated with brilliant works of art that showcase the various skills that each student possesses. The walls function as a dynamic gallery, presenting the synthesis of individual viewpoints and artistic skills and encouraging the young artists to feel proud of their work.
Amiee Cavazzi is an art teacher at Bronx River High School with an abundance of artistic skill who went to art school. After graduating, she found a position managing artwork for museum exhibits, which matched her interest in the arts. Cavazzi’s seasonal work on art windows, which exhibits a dynamic blend of creativity and technical proficiency, is a testament to her passion for her profession.
Her various skills and the creative enthusiasm she brings to Bronx River High School demonstrate her dedication to art education.
“I love making stained glass art and experimenting with alcohol painting,’’ she said.
She also enjoys doing yoga and hiking. Cavazzi teaches yoga as well.
Beyond the painting surface, she said “One of my goals is to travel to India and explore ashrams. Ashrams are like a place for yoga and meditation.”
As a teacher, Cavazzi faces certain difficulties as well. Her students tend to think of themselves as “bad artists” or that they are incapable of succeeding, but she is dedicated to convincing them otherwise. Her influence on the creative community at Bronx River High School can be seen by the work her students produce.

Ms. Cavazzi is the best! We had a staff painting event a few months ago, and I told her that there was no way I would be able to make the small canvas painting that she walked us through – turned out to be loads of fun!
