The month of January is filled with many tests for the students of Bronx River High School. One of the many major upcoming tests are the Regents. The Regents is a mandatory test that high school students in New York state have to take. The test lasts three hours, and after three hours you’re done. To graduate, students must pass a minimum of five Regents exams in specific subjects.
Students are actively preparing for their Regents exams by taking mocks, studying during their free time, and taking in as much information as they can get. One of the upcoming Regents students are prepping for is English Language Arts on Jan. 23 at 9:15 a.m. On the same day, there will also be a Regents for Living Environment at 1:15 p.m.
The following day there will be three exams. On Jan. 24 at 9:15 a.m. , some students will take the U.S. History & Government Regents exam. The same day at 1:15 pm, a Regents for Algebra I and a World Language Exam are scheduled.
On Jan. 25. ninth graders will have to come into to take the English and Math MAP tests.
The final Regents day for January will be held on the 26th. There is only morning Regents on this day and it will be held at the usual time, 9:15 a.m. The Regents for Friday is Chemistry.
Students who are scheduled for exams have received invitations providing them with the time and date of their exams.
