Good news for students who come to school most days. Students with 90 percent or higher attendance so far this year have a chance to go to Six Flags on Dec. 9. The trip takes place in the evening so students can enjoy the decorative lights and participate in the s’more making stations.
“It is an incentive and reward for students with a 90 percent attendance,” said Tene Kelly, the assistant principal in charge of the trip. “I love to spend time with students and make the best memories of high school.”
To qualify, students must have 90 percent attendance and have filled out their emergency blue cards. To attend, students need to have their parents complete the permission slip on Operoo. The trip will take place in the evening of Saturday so kids can enjoy the beautiful decorative lights and participate in the s’more making stations.
Jannat Chowdhury, a sophomore, has expressed her interest in going on the trip and how much she would like to be able to participate because she has been looking forward to spending time together with her friends. Because she’s been so eager to go on the trip, she has avoided taking many days off from school.
