Jemny Santana, the ninth grade guidance counselor, shares her insights and views.
Q: How is your experience as a counselor?
A: My experience as a school counselor has been phenomenal because I have seen students start their journey as high school students and finish as a college student.
Q: How long have you been working here?
A: I have been working here in BRHS since 2018 so it’s about 5 years.
Q: Do you like being a counselor? Why or why not?
A: I love being a counselor because I have the opportunity to help people and the opportunity to talk to the community and staff.
Q: What is your favorite part of being a counselor?
A: My favorite part of being a counselor is being able to work in a community with students and parents. I feel like I’m able to be in contact with everyone.
Q: Why did you choose to be a counselor in BRHS?
A: I chose BRHS because it is closer to my house and I liked the school principal Mr. Fuchech because of his leadership skills.
Q:Was being a counselor your dream profession? If not, what was your dream profession and why didn’t you choose your dream profession?
A: My dream profession was being a chef but I didn’t choose my profession as a chef because I don’t know if this will make a career of it yet .
