Q: What is your name?
A: My name is Jovani Almonte.
Q: How is your experience as a counselor?
A: It’s great. I love being a counselor.
Q: How long have you been working here?
A: I was a teacher before I became a counselor. I taught students for 13 years. I taught elementary school for 5 years and 8 years as a physical education teacher. Then I worked as a counselor for 12 years. I have been working in BRHS for 3 years. I used teaching as a path of being a counselor.
Q: Do you like being a counselor? Why or why not?
A: Being A counselor was my dream profession since I was in high school because I was Inspired by my school counselor. My goal was to become a counselor so I decided to be a teacher so I can learn more about students.
Q: What is your favorite part of being a counselor?
A: My favorite part of being a counselor is how my voice impacts students’ futures and interaction with students and families and contributes to their overall well being.
Q: Why did you choose to be a counselor in BRHS?
A: I chose to be a counselor in BRHS because of its reputation and it was recommended to me as a great opportunity .
Q: Is there anything you want to change about this school?
A: I would love it if the school was on the 1st floor because I don’t like climbing the stairs.

Thank you for helping out our students, our children always look forward to having someone from the outside to communicate. Children should always have someone outside of home that they can express their emotions and feelings, we all need someone to talk to. Thank you for helping our community they are our new future. Thank you
