Senior Night excites the Lehman Campus community
Senior Night took place in Lehman High School’s gym and students from Lehman High School’s Campus, Morris High School and even ones who have graduated from Lehman Campus showed up to cheer on their teams on Friday January 27. Two seniors from BRHS were honored: Jakhyre Wainwright and Marques Hutchinson. They, along with their teammates, played a good game, winning with a convincing score of 76-48. The team is now 10-0 in its league.
Even with the big win, the game became intense in the middle and at the end. At one point in the game, the opposing team almost caught up to the Lehman Lions but the Lion’s fought their way back and ended up with a big win.
The cheerleaders for Lehman Campus added to the excitement with their appealing cheers and chants. They congratulated the Lehman Lions after each successful basket. And the crowd also chanted and cheered. Watching the teams play encouraged some in the crowd to even get on their feet to cheer.
It was a great game and Senior Night was an enjoyment as well as an achievement for all of Lehman Campus’s students – especially the Lehman Lion’s Boys Basketball Team.
Sara Singh, a senior, is part of the NYC Student Press Pass Fellowship program. She has a brother who graduated from BRHS last year.
